List analysis reports

Our new analysis capabilities enables you to create, view, and print list breakdown and cross-tab reports to help with your list buying decisions. Use this analysis to:

  • Print a report for a boss or client for purchase approval
  • Ensure reasonable distribution of records by geography, industry or size
  • Verify sufficient coverage within a target market
  • Compare potential sales territories

After building a prospect list and obtaining a list count, click on "analyze" on the prospect lists results page. You can then create detailed list breakdown analysis or cross-tab reports for all of the records in your list.

List suppression
Save money on every list you license. Never mail to the same business twice.

List suppression enables you to do the following:

To access list suppression, click on "Set Suppression Lists" at the bottom of the prospect lists homepage. From here, you will have the following options:

  • You can upload customer files or other files you wish to suppress from new lists and, for a small fee, zapdata will convert your file into a suppression list for you in 1-2 business days.
  • You can choose any or all previously licensed lists on zapdata to be suppressed from your new list.

Enhanced list preview
See before you buy. Delete unwanted records.

Quickly and easily sort and review all records in your prospect list before you make a purchase decision. Make sure you are hitting your target market before purchasing a list by sorting the list by company name, size, or location. In addition, delete individual records that you do not want to purchase. You can access this preview capability by clicking on "preview" at the top of the prospect lists results page.

Searching on primary and secondary SIC codes
Expand your opportunities. Don't miss hidden prospects.

Prospect lists now allows you to search for companies based on both primary and secondary SIC codes. However, you can still choose to restrict your search to only primary SIC codes. To narrow your search to only companies with matching primary SIC codes, simply check the box next to "Primary SIC Codes only" at the bottom of the main industries selection page.

Remove Duplicate Records
Save money on every list. Prevent duplicate mailings.

Some records in the D&B Sales and Marketing Solutions database reflect different legal entities which are, for marketing purposes, one business. Our new Remove Duplicate Records feature automatically retains only the record highest on the corporate ladder if there is more than one record at the same 10-digit phone number within the same zip code. To ensure complete coverage of a location, click "Remove Duplicate Records" at the bottom of the prospect lists homepage. On the next page, simply uncheck the "Remove duplicate company records from list counts" option.

Building your targeted prospect list is fast and easy. Simply select from any or all of the following:

  • Location - Start refining your sales leads with geographical selections, choosing by state, county, metro area, and/or zip code.
  • Industry - Build your prospect list by choosing the SIC codes of your target market. You can drill down your selections all the way to the 8-digit SIC code level.
  • Company Size - Choose the size of the companies you want to target by number of employees and/or annual sales.
  • Company Site Information - Pick your sales leads from a group of specific business firmographics, including years in business, legal status, public or private companies, headquarter locations, and more.
  • Specialty Data - Select your sales leads from a wide range of multi-sourced, highly-targeted business data elements from leading business data sources.
  • Job Functions - Create the most targeted direct marketing lists available by adding specific contact names and titles from our extensive database of millions of contact names.
